Democratic Party supporters in the United States have been voting in primaries and caucuses to choose a presidential nominee. They are hoping to pick a candidate capable of beating George W. Bush in November’s presidential election. Havard Gould looks at the winners and losers of the race to be the Democratic challenger, and at some of the big issues shaping the course of the campaign.
