This summer the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation organized a contest to come up with the Seven Wonders of Canada. Canadians were invited to submit their nominations, and they responded in overwhelming numbers. More than 18 000 nominations were received and hundreds of thousands of Canadians voted for their choices.
