Human beings all over the world have been tattooing their bodies for thousands of years. And in Canada these days, tattoos have never been more popular. The once rebel art form has become a trendy fashion statement, and a booming business. In this News in Review story the CBC’s Dan Bjarnason takes a close-up look at tattoo artists and their human canvases. He talks to one artist who pursued his obsession all the way to the jungles of Borneo. And he tries to figure out why so many people these days can’t wait to get needled.
