New Era: Paul Martin Takes Over

When Paul Martin was sworn in as Canada’s 21st prime minister he moved quickly to try to put a fresh face on the government he inherited from Jean Chrétien. We look at the ceremonial transfer of power and at the new Prime Minister’s first weeks in office. We also look at who did and who didn’t make it into his first cabinet and what new policies and priorities Canadians can expect from a Martin government.
